Dholera SIR, Special Investment Region is a planned to be the world classs smart city in Gujarat, India. It is roughly 100 kilometers to southwest of the state capital, Ahmedabad. This Dholera Smart city is being developed to grow as a global manufacturing and trading hub.
This Dholera SIR project will back the country's economic growth engine with its excellent infrastructures. In upcoming five years the project aims to be the triple industrial output, quadruple exports from the region, and making a scope of double employment potential and opportunities.
The 920 sq km region is covered in Dholera Sir Master Plan, which is divided into six town Dholera development schemes. This project will be developed in three phases, totaling 567.39 sq km. Dholera SIR, TP is divided into various zones for development, this Dholera smart city will include public facilities, sports and entertainment, high access corridor, green space and agriculture, residential city center, knowledge and IT park, solar park, and many more smart facilities. The Final Plot (FP) of land and the Draft Plan of Town Planning 1 through 6 have been approved. Dholera Smart City Phase 1 is expected to complete by 2023.
